Merry Maids: Proudly giving back to our local community
Caring for our community and our home
Being part of our local community is a big part of our business here at Merry Maids. Any way we are able to give back or make a difference is important to us. Take a look at some of the local organizations we’ve had the privilege of showing our support for over the years.
NHL Alumni Are Coming To Sudbury
Never had the chance to see some of your hockey heroes take to the ice during their careers? Now’s your chance. As a sponsor of the NHL Alumni Benefit Tour, we’d like to remind you that Sudbury is one of the stops this year. See legends from Stanley Cup winning teams hit the ice in support of Special Olympics Ontario and the Law Enforcement Torch Run.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run
This fundraising program has the endorsement of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, and aims to raise awareness for Special Olympics Ontario. Runners carry the “Flame of Hope” into the Opening Ceremonies of Special Olympics Provincial, National and International Games.
Special Olympics Ontario
What started as a modest program has grown into the world’s largest movement that focuses on using sports to promote respect, acceptance, inclusion, and human dignity for those with intellectual disabilities. The Special Olympics sees over 20,000 athletes demonstrating physical fitness, courage, joy and developing interpersonal skills with family and friends. We couldn’t be more proud to support this family friendly event. We encourage you to come out and have a great time when these NHL Alumni lace up their skates for such a worthy cause.
NEO Kids Foundation
NEO Kids Foundation is a fantastic non-profit organization, one that we at Merry Maids of Sudbury are honored to be affiliated with. NEO Kids is Northeastern Ontario’s hub for specialized children’s care. The NEO Kids Foundation is not just a building or a program but rather – a philosophy. By raising awareness and funds for children’s services, equipment and research they hope that children can receive the care they need, in a child and youth-centred environment that is also close to home.
